DISASTER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

A training workshop on Disaster Management was organized for the students under the able guidance of the school Principal Mrs Reema Punj.Mr AnilKumar-Dy Div warden civil defence, Mr Brijmohan-PTI_Delhi Civil Defence and Mr Inderjit Singh- Corps Commander from  St. John Ambulance Brigade, Delhi conducted the sessions on First aid & search and Rescue operation during disasters like fire and earth-quake and provided  them some security tips & asked them to volunteer for demonstrartions. Students were exhorted to be extra cautious & secure themselves and their homes.It was followed by an interactive session where in students cleared their doubts & sought more Information about safety in times of disaster.

CANADIAN DELEGATION VISITS SCHOOL

IVEY delegation from Canada consisting of Dr Mussabir Chowdhury-Executive Consultant for NRC & Niagra College Canada, Patrick Wong and Richard Therrien –from PMO visited  School to initiate  project  Choshma  under the chairperson Mr Prashant Sharma – IIT Council Secretariat. Chairperson from the school is Principal Mrs Reema Punj.The project would deal with the issues related to the use of Internet & Communication Technology into teaching & learning, gaming and simulation& technology collaboration.Under the Project talented students would be offered sponsorship for completing schooling in Canada so that they get an exposure to the Canadian way of education. The team observed classroom teaching and had an interactive session with Science & lang teachers &  students.The delegation was highly appreciative of the teaching methodology & the response from students.Gifts were exchanged and project co-ordinator Mr Surinder Singh-representative  ‘Canada-India Education Council’ commended the efforts of  the project members & looked forward to strengthening of educational & cultural ties with Canadian schools & universities.The school has  one more collaborative project underway with a British Columbian school located in Vancouver.

PAATH SRI JAAP SAHIB

AS PART OF THE ONGOING CELEBRATIONS TO COMMEMORATE THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI GURU GOBIND SINGH SAHIB JI, THE WHOLE SCHOOL JOINED TOGETHER TO PAY OBESIENCE TO THE GURU BY RECITING JAAP SAHIB.AND A GRAND PROCESSION WOULD BE CARRIED OUT ON 20TH JANUARY TO MARK THE CULMINATION OF THE GURPURAB.

ISA-ACTIVITY - 7 THNOV,2012

CLASS-7 STUDENTS WERE TAKEN TO YAMUNA BIO-DIVERSITY PARK AS PART OF AN ISA ACTIVITY. THE PARK IS A HUB FOR CONSERVATION AND  AND IS A LIVING LABORATORY FOR NATURALISTS, ECOLOGISTS AND BUDDING ENVIRONMENTALISTS.THE STUDENTS HAD AN INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH THE SCIENTISTS OF THE YBP.THIS VISIT AIMED AT SENSITISING STUDENTS TOWARDS THE PRESERVATION OF BIO-DIVERSITY.

ISA ACTIVITY- 7TH FEB,2013

STUDENTS OF CLASS 5TH  & 6TH WERE TAKEN TO OKHLA BIRD SANCTUARY AS PART OF THE ONGONG ISA PROJECT.THE SANCTUARY ATTRACTS A LARGE NUMBER OF MIGRATORY BIRDS.STUDENTS ENJOYED THIS EXCURSION IN THE LAP OF NATURE.
SUDENTS WERE ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR TEACHERS MRS HARMEET LYALLPURI& MISS KARUNPREET KAUR.
