BEST OUT OF WASTE - INTER HOUSE COMPETITION - WAS ORGANISED FOR PRIMARY SEGMENT STUDENTS. STUDENTS CREATED WONDERFUL THINGS OUT OF USED/BROKEN CDs, ICE-CREAM STICKS, PET BOTTLES, MUGS, BOXES, NEWSPAPER, ETC.STUDENTS ENJOYED THEIRCREATIVITY AND TEACHERS APPRECIATED THEIR EFFORTS !!

SALAD BAR - INTER HOUSE COMPETITION FOR MIDDLE SEGMENT STUDENTS WAS ORGANISED. EACH STALL WAS ALLOTED DIFFERENT KIND OF SALAD. STUDENTS PREPARED THE SALAD VERY ENTHUSISTICALLY AND THEN DISPLAYED AND SOLD IT AT THE STALLS PUT UP BY EACH HOUSE IN THE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT AND EXCITEMENT WAS TO BE SEEN TO BE BELIEVED. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND STUDENTS AS WELL AS TEACHERS ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY.

SCHOOL PROVIDES EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO THE TEACHERS FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND ENLIGHTENMENT AND AS PART OF THIS PROCESS MS HARMEET KAUR BEDI ATTENDED AN INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON 'CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME ON CO-SCHOLASTIC ASPECTS OF CCE' AT HANSRAJ MODEL SCHOOL, PUNJABI BAGH ON 13th & 14th JULY,2016. RESOURCE PERSONS MS HEEMAL HANDOO (PRINCIPAL- HANSRAJ MODEL SCHOOL) & MS KAMALPREET KAUR (PRINCIPAL GHPS-FATEH NAGAR) EMPHASIZED ON THE REVIEW AND THE NEED OF THE CO-SCHOLASTIC AREAS OF CCE. THEY ALSO DISCUSSED AT LENGTH CO-SCHOLASTIC ASPECTS OF  LEARNERS' PERSONALITY AND THEIR DESIRABLE BEHAVIOUR RELATED TO LIFE SKILLS, ATTITUDES AND VALUES, PARTICIPATION AND ACHIEVEMENT IN CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION. A MATHS WORKSHOP ON 'FUN WITH MATHEMATICS' WAS ORGANIZED ON 13TH JULY,2016 UNDER THE AEGIS OF HT-PACE FOR THE STUDENTS OF CLASSES 6TH & 7TH. RESOURCE PERSON MR. BHAVEESH SURYAKANT DEALT WITH THE FEAR FACTOR THAT STUDENTS GENERALLY HAVE REGARDING MATHEMATICS AND SUGGESTED WAYS TO REMOVE IT. HE DISCUSSED SOME EASY AND QUICK WAYS FOR CALCULATIONS AND GAVE STUDENTS SOME EASY AND USEFUL FORMULAE BY GIVING EXAMPLES ; D5 M5 E11 N9 AND M8.

IN THE CONTINUED PROCESS OF ENRICHING TEACHERS WITH AN INSIGHT INTO CHILD PSYCHOLOGY YET ANOTHER WORKSHOP WAS ORGANIZD UNDER THE AEGIS OF LITCHI ON 2nd JULY, 2016 FOR THE TEACHERS OF MIDDLE AND SENIOR SEGMENT. RESOURCE PERSON MRS ISHLEEN KAUR SPOKE EXTENSIVELY ON THE TOPIC 'UNDERSTANDING AND DEALING WITH ADOLOSCENT ISSUES'. THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO MAKE TEACHERS AWARE OF THE ADOLOSCENT ISSUES AND WAYS OF HANDLING THEM AND TO MAKE TEACHING AND LEARNING UNIT MORE VALUABLE AND REMARKABLE.

APPREHENDING PROBLEMS OF THE STUDENTS AND TO  HANDLE SUCH SITUATIONS EFFECTIVELY AND TO MAKE TEACHING - LEARNING PROCESS MORE POWERFUL WERE AT THE CORE OF THE ENTIRE PROCESS.

A WORKSHOP IN MATHS WAS ATTENDED BY MRS SANGEETA ARORA, MRS HARJEET KAUR AND MRS DEVINDER VOHRA ON 28TH JUNE,2016 AT DWARKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DWARKA. RESOURCE PERSON MRS ASHALATA BADAMI APPRISED TEACHERS OF THE PLAYWAY METHOD TO CREATE INTEREST AND MAKE UNDERSTANDING OF MATHS EASIER. SHE INVOLVED TEACHERS IN A NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES RELATED TO AVERAGE OF NUMBER FACTOR SYSTEM AND FRACTIONS. CONCEPT BASED TEACHING WAS EMPHASISED AND TIPS ON THE USE OF VEDIC MATHS FOR CHECKING BASIC OPERATIONS WERE GIVEN.
