ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 22.12.2015 - 23.12.2015


ANNUAL SPORTS DAY WAS ORGANIZED IN THE SCHOOL PLAYGROUND ON 22ND AND 23RD DECEMBER,2015. SPORTS TORCH WAS HANDED OVER TO THE BEST ATHELETE OF THE SCHOOL, GAGANDEEP SINGH (XI A). SPORTS CAPTAIN ADMINISTERED THE OATH TO THE PARTICIPANTS THUS INSTILLING IN THEM A FEELING OF CAMARADERIE . SCHOOL CHAIRMAN S.GURINDERPAL SINGH KOCHHAR ,MANAGER S.KULDEEP SINGH LYALLPURI AND PRINCIPAL MRS REEMA PUNJ ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL SPORTS ACTIVITIES AS SPORTS THEMSELVES HAVE A VITAL ROLE IN MAKING A CHILD PHYSICALLY AS WELL AS MENTALLY STRONG. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY A CULTURAL BONANZA COMPRISING OF DRILLS AND DANCES IN COLORFUL ATTIRES PRESENTED BY NURSERY AND PRIMARY WING OF THE SCHOOL WHICH LEFT THE SPECTATORS SPELL-BOUND.

STUDENTS OF NURSERY WING MESMERIZED THE SPECTATORS' GALLERY WITH THEIR ENTHUSIASTIC PARTICIPATION IN CAT, BANANA, WINTER AND HURDLE RACES FOLLOWED BY 100, 200, 300 AND 400, RELAY AND SACK RACES,LEMON AND BANANA RACES,SHORT PUT AND LONG PUT BY THE PRIMARY, MIDDLE AND SENIOR SEGMENT STUDENTS. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY A GRAND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY WHEREIN STATE LEVEL AND NATIONAL LEVEL ATHLETES OF THE SCHOOL ALONG WITH THE WINNERS OF ALL EVENTS WERE AWARDED CERTIFICATES, MEDALS AND SHIELDS.

NEWSMAKER'S MEET 11TH DECEMBER, 2015

TIMES NIE, THE YOUTH ARM OF THE TIMES OF INDIA PROVIDED THE STUDENTS A FORUM TO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS AND CONCERNS. STUDENTS HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO INTERACT WITH THE RESIDENT EDITOR OF THE TIMES OF INDIA AND POLICE COMMISSIONER MR. BASSI.







 

NAGAR-KIRTAN 6TH DECEMBER,2016

STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE SCHOOL PARTICIPATED IN A GRAND NAGAR-KIRTAN CARRIED OUT FROM GURDWARA SRI GURU SINGH SABHA, PUNJABI BAGH ( WEST ) TO GURDWARA SRI SATSANG SABHA, PUNJABI BAGH ( EAST ). STUDENTS DRESSED AS PANJ PIARAS, HORSE RIDERS, BAND AND DRILL GROUPS WALKED THROUGH THE LANES OF EAST AND WEST PUNJABI BAGH SHOWCASING THEIR FAITH IN THE FOUNDER GURU, GURU NANAK DEV JI.
