IAYP TEAM VISITS OLD AGE HOME 20TH OCTOBER,2015

Learning, sharing and growing up… IAYP Team of the school, from last six years  is enthusiastically and successfully  cementing and preserving the four pillars of the Programme.
The first and most important Pillar of Service sensitizes them to social work.

This year,  students took up Community Service and visited Sukhshala, an Old Age Home, situated in New Rajinder Nagar. They were greeted with smiles and  students also hugged them with total warmth. They spent thought provoking moments with the inmates who have been either neglected or become unwanted by their children. To break the monotony of their lives students extended a warm sharing heart to console them, offered them flowers, gifts and self cooked food. The interaction with the inmates of The Old Age Home stirred their emotions and made them aware of the most important lesson in life…let no parents be isolated from their families and  let the love and respect you feel for your parents not seep away with time. For the students it was a wonderful  experience and an opportunity to discover empathy within themselves.
