SAFETY MOCK DRILL
Safety measures are in full swing in the school. On 7th April,2015 The Disaster Management Club members organized a safety mock
drill under the aegis of the Directorate of Education to mark the anniversary
of the Great Kangra Earthquake Disaster. The drill was aimed at evacuation in
case of earthquake. It was a promising sight to see children pouring out of
their classes in total harmony and evacuating the school. The evacuation was
done within the speculated time-limit. The school Principal Mrs Reema Punj
highlighted the importance of such safety preparedness drills and exhorted the
students to exercise complete control and alertness in such critical situations
and not to panic. And as can be seen from the frequent fires and earthquakes,
these drills are surely the way to go.
